ProStart School-to-Career Program
Developed by The Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association, this unique program give students the work experience and classroom learning they need to succeed in restaurant and foodservice.
The restaurant and foodservice industry is this country’s fastest growing. Currently 9 million workers strong, the industry is expected to employ 10.8 million workers by 2005, and many of these jobs will be high-paying management positions.
The ProStart program takes advantage of these opportunities, helping high school sophomores, juniors and seniors take their first steps toward promising restaurant and foodservice careers. Work experiences with specially trained worksite mentors are combined
with a practical curriculum that imparts real-world skills and foodservice concepts.
